New Leadership for the New Year!

Happy New Year, Oregon. With this New Year, the campaign is moving ahead to bring new leadership to Oregon’s First Congressional District. Many Oregonians have served in the military – Active, Reserve, and National Guard. Oregonians continue to serve our country, state, and local communities. Right now, Oregonians are serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and around the world, and more Oregon reservists are preparing to mobilize. These brave men and women have special issues, and while many programs have been improved during the past few years, more improvement is needed. Veterans face many employment hurdles because of their service to our nation – this is why I will be proposing a new veterans hiring preference program [read it here].
